In 2018 and 2019, the East London Foundation Trust commissioned Osca to deliver a train the trainer programme for their educators to build in the internal capacity to deliver the programmes themselves. This involved training and then quality assuring six trainers over the year to deliver the programme to colleagues.
“I’m an occupational therapist working in a health team for adults with learning disabilities. I joined the Coaching for Health course with a degree of scepticism and was surprised by the impact the process had on my confidence in managing challenging conversations with the families and carers of the people that I work with. The coaching experience felt directly relevant to my own work and gave me the skills I could start using immediately. It’s been a great learning experience to train the course. I’ve felt supported and able to run the course and the positive feedback in the evaluation forms has been useful and motivating. It’s been a great opportunity to learn from other professionals – both about where they work, the challenges and pleasures they find at work and how they’ve used the Coaching for Health model.”
